Apply for Financial Aid
Now that you know what financial aid is, you can begin applying for all available aid. Complete your FAFSA, your Free Application for Federal Student Aid to make sure you maximize every dollar to cover the cost of your education. Use this website, use the Georgia State University school code, 001574 and follow these steps to get started.
Check
After submitting your FAFSA, check your PAWS account after five business days to ensure that no additional records are needed. Some students may need to send verification records even after submitting their FAFSA. If this is you, don’t worry, just log in to your PAWS account to send any requested forms.
Accept
When you’ve decided that your financial award is in a good place and you’re ready to move forward, you can accept your award. Simply log in to PAWS and accept your award! The complete steps toward accepting your award can be found in the Accept tab in the Guided Steps here.
Review
Now that you’ve completed the biggest step in your financial aid Guided Path, be sure to review your account. If you have a remaining balance, you can review your payment options. Some of the ways you can cover your balance are by using PantherPay, a third-party formal billing agreement or a Georgia State University payment plan. If a credit has been applied to your account, you can click here to receive your refund.
