DUAL ENROLLMENT

The Dual Enrollment program gives high school juniors and seniors the chance to enroll part-time or full-time to earn high school and college credit concurrently. Participation is permitted during the normal fall, spring and summer semesters of the college school year.

Admission for Dual Enrollment Students into Perimeter College

One program, two options. At Georgia State, you can join the Dual Enrollment program through Perimeter College or our downtown Atlanta Campus. Dual enrollment students at Perimeter College can take courses at any of our five Perimeter campuses or online. 1000- and 2000-level courses only are available through Perimeter. Dual enrollment students at our Atlanta Campus attend classes on the Atlanta Campus only and have a few options for 3000- and 4000-level courses. Student Eligibility and Requirements

Eligibility

Be entering grades 11 or 12
Be on track to graduate
Obtain approval from a high school counselor and parent(s)/legal guardian(s)
Must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements to remain eligible for Dual Enrollment Funding
Submit a completed Immunization Form to Georgia State Health Services

Requirement	Minimum
High School GPA:	3.0 (3.2 for admission without test scores)
Age/Grade Level: grade 10	Successful completion by the time of enrollment
Test Scores. (if required):*	Score requirement minimums must be met for all components of at least one of the three tests below: SAT/PSAT: Score 530 Evidence-Based Reading & Writing AND 530 Math ACT/PreACT: Score 20 English or Reading AND 21 Math ACCUPLACER: 237 Reading AND 4 WritePlacer AND 258 Math (QAS)

*Test scores are not required if you have a 3.2 or higher high school GPA.

Visit the Counseling and Testing Center for information about signing up for the ACCUPLACER exam, if needed.

*Test scores are not required if you have a 3.2 or higher high school GPA. scores are not required for consideration if you have a 3.4 or higher high school GPA.* You must still meet all dual-enrollment requirements.

*If your high school GPA is below 3.2, you must submit test scores that meet minimum requirements for at least one of the three tests below:

SAT/PSAT: 530 Evidence-Based Reading & Writing AND 530 Math (Submit scores through collegeboard.org using this code: 5251)
ACT/PreACT: 20 English or Reading AND 21 Math (Submit scores through act.org/content/act/en-georgia.html using this code: 0826)
ACCUPLACER: 237 Nex-Gen Reading AND 4 WritePlacer AND 258 Nex-Gen QAS (Math) (Submit scores through testing.gsu.edu/applicant-student-exams/)

2	(Cont.) Submit AP scores through College Board. Ask your high school counselor to submit your PSAT scores to Georgia State.

Submit official high school and college transcripts:

Home-schooled students should contact the Dual Enrollment Office.
Submit official college transcripts if you have taken college courses at another post-secondary institution prior to applying to Perimeter College.

Deadlines for Dual Enrollment Students for Perimeter College

Perimeter College processes admission documents and renders admission decisions on a rolling basis. A student’s application is valid for three terms of entry, including the term marked initially on the application and the following two terms of entry. Students who wish to be considered for a term of entry within this time must complete a reactivation application and required credentials by the document due date for the desired term of entry.
