Admitted international students who are taking classes on campus will need F1 visa sponsorship from Georgia State University. Please work with International Student & Scholar Services (ISSS) as quickly as possible on the I-20 issuance process. Only after the I-20 has been created by ISSS and received by the student overseas can they request a visa from the local U.S. consulate. Students should check with their local U.S. consulate regarding any possible closures or visa delays and reach out to ISSS ([email protected]) with questions. The visa process does take time, so please do not delay in providing needed documents to ISSS.
