Admission to the Honors College is limited to the top 5 to 8 percent of Georgia State’s incoming, first-year students each year.
The strongest candidates will have taken the most challenging path through their high schools’ curriculum and should submit an Honors College essay response as part of their Common Application. They also will have demonstrated leadership, engaged in community service and participated in extracurricular enrichment. Students who have already submitted their Common Applications without an Honors College essay response may do so by completing the Honors College Evaluation Request Form. Essay tips and other helpful information can be found on the Honors College application resources page.
Admitted students are usually notified by email starting in December; Honors admissions offers will be extended through the spring on a space-available basis..
