An Overview
The Office of Undergraduate Admissions is excited to announce the 14th annual Summer Leadership Academy at Georgia State University.
The 2024 Summer Leadership Academy program is held on our beautiful downtown Atlanta campus! Space will be limited so apply soon.
Summer Leadership Academy is a five-day service-learning program for outstanding high school students. This is a great opportunity for you to build upon your leadership skills and prepare you for leadership roles in high school, in college, and beyond.
Summer Leadership Academy is free of charge.
The academy will be held on Georgia State University’s main campus in Atlanta, GA. This five-day program will begin: Monday, June 10, and last through Friday, June 14, 2024, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily.

you will...
- Learn what it means to be a leader
- Address real-world issues
- Learn about leadership initiatives happening at Georgia State University
- Showcase your leadership skills to faculty, staff, peers, family and friends
- Learn about preparing for college and the admissions process
- Build lasting friendships
Eligibility
Admission into the program is based on a combination of high school grades and extracurricular activities. We’re looking for –
- Motivated students who are entering their junior or senior year in Fall 2024.
- Applicants with a minimum 3.0 weighted GPA (on a 4.0 scale).
- Applicants with strong involvement in extracurricular activities.
Cost & Requirements
There is no cost to participate in this program.
Georgia State’s highest priority is protecting the health of our students, faculty, and staff, and the COVID-19 Task Force continues to monitor the state of public health in our community.
